A vigorous, deciduous shrubby tree with a cascading habit. Leaves with deeply dissected 7 lobes, are rich brownish red throughout summer, slightly brighter in autumn. Small purplish spring flowers are followed by red fruits in summer.
Site & Soil: Grow in fertile, moist, well-drained neutral to acid soil in full sun to partial shade.
Hardiness: Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe.
Eventual Height & Spread: 2.5-4m x 1.5-2.5m.
Other: Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure. Suitable for containers but attention to water is needed in dry spells during the growing season.
