Acers can be deciduous trees or large shrubs with paired leaves and small flowers followed by fruit. With widely-spaced, feathery foliage, ‘Inaba-shidare’ forms an upright mounded shrub. It is a stately specimen, the wine-red leaves changing to a saturated red in the autumn. Ideal as a focal point in the garden, either in a container or part of a mixed bed. Make sure to locate it in a sheltered, sunny spot.
