A large, erect deciduous shrub or small tree of open habit, with bronze-tinged young leaves that will turn orange and red in autumn. White flowers in short racemes appear as the leaves unfurl. Fruit is a red to dark purple-black berry, popular with birds.
Site & Soil: Grow in moist, lime free, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.
Hardiness: Fully hardy.
