Araucaria are magnificent evergreen trees with whorled branches bearing spirally arranged, scale-like leaves. Male and females are usually separate plants. Araucana, or ‘Monkey Puzzle’, bears stately, dark green limbs of triangular, needle like-leaves. Mature plants will bear cones on the upper tiers. Plant in well drained soiled in a sunny, semi-sheltered location.
