
'Fastigiata' is a medium-sized, deciduous tree with a narrow crown when young, but becomes more compact and ovoid with age, and is feathered to the ground. The green foliage is ribbed and finely serrated, and will turn yellow in the autumn. Catkins appear in the spring and are green, followed by winged nut in the autumn.
Site & Soil: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Hardiness: Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe.
Eventual Height & Spread: 12m x 2.5-4m.
