'Ruby Falls' is a compact, weeping cultivar to 2m tall and wide. The heart-shaped leaves, to 10cm long, emerge a dark maroon-red maturing to a dark purple colour in summer. The deep lavender-pink flowers appear before the foliage in spring.
Site & Soil: Grow in fertile, moisture-retentive well-drained soil in sun.
Hardiness: Hardy throughout most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites. Potted plants at an increased risk of damage without protection.
Eventual Height & Spread: 1.5-2.5m x 1.5-2.5m.
