Cornus controversa 'Variegata'

The Wedding Cake Tree, so named for it strongly tiered branches bearing ovate leaves broadly margined with cream that resemble a layered and frosted cake. Small, creamy flowers in flat clusters are followed by black berries, lending more towards the descriptive name. 'Variegata' is a small deciduous tree, perfect for a statement specimen in any garden. Location: Plant in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Care: Requires little to no pruning. Approx Height x Spread (m): 8x8 after 10-20 years.
