Fatsia are evergreen shrubs with sparsely branched stems bearing large, leathery, lobed leaves. Small white flowers are followed by small black fruits. This specimen has striking foliage that is veined with white, giving it its name, ‘Spider’s Web’. Can be planted to brighten up a shady area of the garden, or grown in a container as an indoor plant. Grow in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. Shelter from cold, drying winds, protect from hard frosts. Variegated fatsia resent full sun. Under glass, grow in loam-based compost in bright filtered light. In growth, water moderately, feed monthly.
