Hedera are evergreen climbing shrubs that attach with aerial roots. Clusters of small yellow-green flowers are followed by usually black berries. ‘Hibernica’ is a large, robust climber, and is widely used in landscaping for difficult locations. It can grow in any well-drained soil, tolerates coastal exposure, and will thrive in full sun to partial shade. The flowers and berries are attractive to bees and birds.
