'Idared' is an upright to spreading, deciduous tree with ovate, toothed, glossy, dark green leaves, pale pink flowers in spring and edible, red or red-flushed, pale yellow fruit ready for harvest in mid-autumn. Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in sun. Tolerates partial shade. Keep a clear area around the trunk of at least 60cm radius. Self-sterile so requires different apple cultivar for pollination.
