Malus are small to medium-sized deciduous trees with showy flowers in spring and ornamental or edible fruit in autumn. An early-season variety, ‘Katja’ is a robust, heavy cropping dessert apple tree. The fruit is heavily flushed red and its juicy, tangy flesh is white. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil in a sheltered spot.
