Malus are small to medium-sized deciduous trees with showy flowers in spring and ornamental or edible fruit in autumn; some have good autumn foliage colour. 'Evereste' is a small deciduous tree, broadly conical in outline, with more or less lobed leaves. Flowers 5cm in width, white, opening from red buds; fruit to 2.5cm in length, yellowish-orange. Plant in partial shade to full sun in moist, well-drained soil.
